LA show
Great time at the LA opening for Pits and Perception! Thanks to everyone who made this possible, especially Samantha Robson, for a fantastic job putting it all together!
And thanks to Jen Krause for taking photos all night long. Here are Jen's comments and a link to the photos.
The show last night was unbelievable. There was a very powerful energy in the room -- You could really feel the overwhelming love and sensitivity we share for this misunderstood breed. It was truly inspir...ational.
The Pit Bull’s beauty (inside and out) was perfectly captured in Cyrus’s paintings which filled the room with love, unity, and hope that one day things would change.
As the (not so inconspicuous) paparazza, I had the privilege of snapping some of great moments. I’m no professional but hopefully some good, lasting memories in here.
A standing ovation for Samantha Robson, who did an exquisite job producing the event. From the 3 piece orchestra, to the gorgeous flowers, chocolates, wine, and overall presentation. Her class and talent really shined through and I was really proud to be a part of this.
I will borrow this phrase from Sam because I think it’s more appropriate than any other... IT WAS EPIC!!!
And thanks to our friend's at Atwater's Revo Cafe, Artology 101, 55Degrees, Sweets for the Soul and LA's Bristol Farms for a beautiful spread. And of course to Best Friend's volunteers, members and all of the animal lovers and Pitties who blessed us with their presence to share this great night.
If you missed this momentous occasion (sorry) BUT the good news is that you can view the art til next month. Info here: Pits and Perception paintings By Cyrus Mejía at Artology 101 3108 Glendale Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90039. February 20 - March 18, 2010
